Impentris’ recently released debut album “Approaching the Darkness”, has been described by fans as “the soundtrack to the end of the world!” A dominating collection of songs: with shredding guitar solos, cutting riffs, crushing bass lines, explosive drum fills, terrorizing vocals & painfully truthful lyrics. From backyard parties to multi-camera video shoots at the Whisky A Go-Go, the band has seen many stages. After the death of front man Kelly Briggs in 2005, the music delved deeper into darkness. Embodying a musical allegory, representing a society whose sustenance is dependant upon empirical impenitence.
7 years later, with the help of the newest advancements in technology and modern software capabilities, Ryan Huddleston and his team were able to bring Kelly’s lost and forgotten vocal recordings back to life to complete the album. Thus completing the bands greatest achievement, and defining their immortality. 12 years in the making, only fate could bring such a critical message at a time like this. The foreshadowing of the album and the concept for making it sets this record apart from everything else on the market, foretelling a dark future with imminent destruction, well ahead of its time. It provides the power of knowledge, for all listeners, essential to learn before time runs out.
The band is currently re-constructing a dominating & unforgettable live show, with original and new members, to deliver their dark message and punish audiences everywhere for their impenitence. Impentris Record Release Concert – July 13th, 2012
Impentris was live in concert, it was an awesome show!!! With the release of our debut album, “Approaching the Darkness”, we reclaimed our place in the San Diego Music Scene.
